Sevens Rugby is known for fast paced play and high scores. Scores can run into the 40’s or 50’s very easily. Central Washington 7’s team is no different, breezing through pool play earlier this morning, by beating Yale University 31-0. The Wildcats clamped down on defense garnering their third consecutive shut out at the Las Vegas Invitational(LVI). The Wildcats have amassed a staggering 123 total points at the LVI, breaking down to almost 3 points per minute of play for the Wildcats.
The road to Philadelphia will increase in difficulty this afternoon as the Wildcats move on to the Knockout stage. They will open up against the Utes of Utah in the round of 16. Luckily for the Wildcats though, they will not see Life University or Kutztown Rugby till the championship match. All attention is focused on Utah and taking it one game at a time for the Wildcats. The match between the Utes and Cats is scheduled for 12:40 Pm.
