Look at the Week Ahead for CWU Club Sports!!! Week of Feb.5th-Feb. 11th

CWU Sport Clubs will see a flurry of  action as Central Washington gets ready to host their first event of the Winter Quarter.Five different Sport Clubs are in action during the week of Feb.5th to the 11th. Four will travel around the West Coast and one will play host to two schools right in the Recreation Center on the Campus of Central Washington University.

Men’s Rugby-Feb.8-12

Women’s Water Polo-Feb.11

The Women’s Water Polo Club will kick off their season by raveling to their only tournament away from Ellensburg. They will head to Woodburn, Oregon and play the likes of Western Washington University, University of Oregon, Portland State, and Oregon State University. Club President Megan Razey said “the girls are fired up and ready to final begin the season, and hope to do some damage in the Northwest Division.” Games begin on Saturday February 11th at 9AM

Mens Lacrosse-Feb.11

CWU Men’s Lacrosse will throw themselves into the fire right away and head down to Monmouth, Oregon to take on Pacific Northwest power Western Oregon University. They will face off on Saturday Feb.11 at 1pm in Monmouth. Club Officer, Patrick Mehl,  “Is cautiously optimistic and believes his team can play with anyone in the PNCLL.”

Climbing-Feb.11

CWU Climbing will continue their season when they head up to Western Washington University to compete in yet another Northwest Collegiate Climbing Competition event. CWU looks to continue their success in Bellingham and do well as a team.

Equestrian-Feb.11

CWU Equestrian will head to their second home in Redmond, WA as get ready to host the final English/Hunt Seat show of the regular season. CWU has already qualified their Western team for Regionals in Silverton, Oregon as well as individuals for English. They will look to qualify more English riders due to the fact that this is an English only show.

Wrestling

CWU Wrestling will play host this weekend for the NWCA State Duels. Eastern Washington and Evergreen State College will both come to Ellensburg to vie for the title of best duel collegiate club duel team in Washington. Action Starts on Saturday Feb.11 at  1 Pm on Court D of the Rec Center at CWU
