Look at the Week Ahead-Rugby, Hockey, Swimming, and Wrestling

Central Washington University has a busy travel week planned for February 3rd and 4th. Four clubs will make their way to three locations Western Washington University, Evergreen State College, and Eastern Washington University.

The Central Hockey team will play a three game series against club hockey power Eastern Washington in Cheney. Central Hockey is trial by fire this season playing Eastern and WSU who are both  collegiate hockey powers in the Pacific Northwest .CWU and EWU will play one Friday, Saturday, and Sunday each.

CWU Men’s Rugby will head to Western this weekend to take on hated rival Western Washington University.This will be the first 15’s match between the two schools in a couple of years because of scheduling conflicts with USA Rugby’s Premier Division. Two matches will be played in Bellingham beginning at 1:00 pm.

Quick Note:Both Central and Western will also head down to the Las Vegas Invite on February 8th with hopes of qualifying for the collegiate Rugby Championship in Philadelphia in June.

CWU swimming will kick their spring season off this weekend in Olympia at a Sanctioned US Masters Swim Meet. The Swim is very excited to begin their season and hopefully qualify into nationals in the late spring.

While one club is beginning another is just wrapping up their regular season. CWU Wrestling will finish off their regular season in Cheney against Eastern in a head to head duel match. This will be the second of three duels between these two teams. They will begin post season play at Central in a three-way duel between Evergreen State College, CWU , and EWU.
